Camp Queerness: overnight camp, reimagined for sapphic, queer, and trans adults. This time, exploring the jungle, and of course, with Mexican flair.

For sapphic, queer, and trans travelers who prioritize small, local businesses, want to learn about culture respectfully, and are excited to be shown a side of Mexico they never had access to before, all in a space that's affirming to their identity.

Kayaking through the Sian Ka'an biosphere reserve, dancing, singing, painting, eating incredible food, and sharing stories with people who get it. Created by Santi Solis, a queer, bilingual, bicultural UCLA-trained biologist. Born in Mexico and living in Tulum for almost ten years, I bring you the version of this place that makes me so proud to call home.

you'll stay

We're renting out a private villa in a super quiet neighborhood of Tulum, just outside of the town center. Close enough for easy access to explore during free time, but far enough that you'll get to hear the sounds of the jungle.

We'll be staying at a nice villa in Tulum town. Even though it's called camp, we won't be camping, but we will be spending a lot of time outdoors.
Tours are single-day experiences with just your group. Camp Queerness is an overnight camp that brings together travelers who don't already know each other yet, for a shared experience full of new places and new people.
I'm a bicultural, bilingual, queer and trans UCLA-trained biologist, and I created Camp Queerness myself. That gives you insight into Mexico in a way you can only get from a local person. I've been running tours for queer and trans travelers here in Tulum for over three years.
